Often seen by the other Clans as cunning but manipulative, secretive and enigmatic, resourceful but strange, insular and protective. Appearance-wise, they are often stereotypically imagined as medium-haired, muscular, large, darker pelt colors and with tabby patterns often expected.
To their own, BriarClan is best characterized by their relentless acceptance. Where other Clans might turn away from an outsider or former enemy, BriarClan welcomes all willing to be loyal with open arms. They're often caught in conflict with their rival StormClan, and maintain peaceful neutrality with the neighboring MistClan.
All BriarClan high ranks are allowed to take on mates within the Clan. All warriors are trained in basic herbs, though specializations differ between Wardens and Scouts. Apprentices are named following particular praise-worthy deeds, and can recieve their ceremony at any point in their training.

HICKORYSTAR (she/her)

BriarClan's current leader, named in the aftermath of the most recent wildfire. A renowned mentor figure to the Clan and survivor of three different wildfires, Hickorystar's leadership is characterized by her industrious attitude and relentless compassion.
TROUTLEAP (she/her)
RANK: DEPUTY | Played by Barry
Troutleap, with her flare for the dramatic, is Hickorystar's first and current deputy. After suffering severe injures in a fire, she stayed behind in camp to ensure the wellbeing of the trapped leader.
SLATECLAW (she/they)
RANK: HEALER | Played by Hal
A seasoned scout in her own right, Slateclaw knew her time on the battlefield was coming to an end. However, after the disappearance of the previous lead healer, Slateclaw couldn't bear to see her Clan struggle without their throughline. She didn't hesitate in volunteering herself for the role.
EMBERSKY (she/he)

Embersky was an unorthodox pick for the position of healer, that's for sure. Formerly a StormClan warden, Embersky defected from her birth Clan in the midst of a border skirmish, swearing her new loyalties to BriarClan that very same night.
CLOVERSPLASH (he/they)
RANK: EMISSARY | Played by Dev
Cloversplash is the poster kitten of BriarClan's unrelenting acceptance. After a rough upbringing in MistClan, he fled to BriarClan and was subsequently taken under the wing of his mentor Hickoryleaf. First emissary in Clan history, and the adoptive father of Lupinheart.
LAURELPAW (she/her)
RANK: EMISSARY APPRENTICE | Played by Crayons
Laurelpaw was born an absolute delinquent, and she's only just coming out of that shell. Found by BriarClan in the woods after being abandoned alongside her siblings during a recent wildfire, it's hard for her to really trust adults. Unfortunately, she's a therapist for them now.
